Does your student love to read? Are they ready to start performing research projects and writing samples at the high school level? In this Project/Inquiry Based Learning course, our students get to dive in to hot topics, current events, pop culture, and literary canon. Students will perform research, debate various social justice initiatives, discuss multimedia across centuries and genres, and evaluate what it means to live in a pluralistic society. Throughout the course, students will be challenged and will rise to advanced academic occasions in order to prepare them not only to obtain a high school course credit but, perhaps more importantly, to be fully prepared to tackle honors and Advanced Placement courses when they move on from GMS.
